A Caring Mentor and Coach I had the privilege of having Linda Johnson as my mentor. Linda would share her impressions with me, and sometimes challenge me to look within to see how God was leading in these areas my life. Her loving and caring demeanor, coupled with her non-judgmental attitude helped me to feel cared for and safe. She is a very transparent person and isn’t afraid to admit her mistakes, learn from them and laugh about them. Her stories helped me relate better to her and I learned a lot throughout our mentorship. Linda is also very insightful and perceptive. I am thankful to Linda for our many mentoring sessions and highly recommend her to future mentees.
It is a high call to serve God in a ministerial leadership capacity whether directing programs serving the poor, evangelizing in the street, planting a church, founding a parachurch ministry, preaching, or doing missions overseas. As women, we face unique leadership challenges and are often scarcely resourced with mentors and coaches. The gravest danger to women (or others) in ministry is spiritual burnout; losing our connection with the very One we serve. Offerings:
